Hey there! It’s Karin here, currently 35 weeks pregnant and excited to share something powerful with you today. Recently, I experienced a health scare that taught me an incredible lesson about the connection between our thoughts and physical health.

I want to be clear right away – I’m not a doctor or nurse, and this isn’t medical advice. What I’m sharing is my personal spiritual journey. I believe there’s wisdom in both conventional medicine AND understanding our body’s deeper wisdom.

The Unexpected Diagnosis

A few weeks ago during a routine prenatal checkup, my doctor found my blood pressure was abnormally high. Since this was my first pregnancy, they started monitoring me closely – twice weekly appointments, urine tests, additional ultrasounds.

They were concerned about preeclampsia, a potentially serious pregnancy complication.

But something felt off to me. I’ve always been healthy. My baby was doing great, scoring 8 out of 8 on all her tests. I had none of the typical symptoms – no headaches, no blurry vision, no pain above my belly.

So I asked myself: What’s really going on here?

The Mind-Body Connection Is Real

I’ve always believed that your spiritual body influences your physical body. Whatever you tell yourself, whatever you believe, your physical body will follow.

But now I needed to apply this wisdom to myself in a deeper way.

Instead of just accepting the diagnosis and taking medication, I decided to look inward. I needed to find the root cause of what was happening.

I sat down and began asking myself some powerful questions:

  • What responsibilities am I carrying that aren’t mine?
  • Where am I resisting change or flexibility?
  • Do I allow myself to ask for and receive help?
  • Do I feel like I’m alone and need to handle everything myself?
  • Is there any unresolved anger inside me?

Each question led to deeper questions, until I started uncovering the core beliefs that were affecting my physical body.

Finding the Hidden Fears

As I dug deeper, I discovered what was really happening. I was experiencing deep anxiety about the unknown aspects of becoming a mother.

I’m a very independent person, and for the first time, I realized I was going to have to let others (especially my partner) take over more responsibilities. I wouldn’t be able to control everything.

I had fears about:

  • What labor would actually feel like
  • How breastfeeding would work
  • How to give a newborn their first bath
  • What if I slept through baby’s feeding times

All these unspoken worries were creating physical tension in my body, leading to high blood pressure. My body was literally holding onto stress because my mind was holding onto fear.

But the most powerful realization? These weren’t just thoughts – they were beliefs. On some level, I believed I had to do everything perfectly and by myself.

The Healing Process

Once I identified these core limiting beliefs, I could start changing them. Every night before bed (when your subconscious mind is most receptive), I began a specific healing process:

  1. I would get into a relaxed state, just before sleep
  2. I visualized white healing light entering through my crown chakra
  3. I saw my kidneys and liver functioning perfectly
  4. I imagined my blood flowing freely with normal pressure
  5. I released all the fears and doubts that no longer served me

This wasn’t a one-time fix. It took consistent practice over about two weeks. But I kept at it, working with my mind and spirit each night.

The Results Speak for Themselves

At my next prenatal appointment, the nurse checked my blood pressure. Then she checked it again, looking surprised.

It was completely normal.

My kidneys were functioning perfectly. My liver tests came back normal. Everything was exactly as it should be.

The moment I realized what had happened, I ran to our bedroom with tears of happiness in my eyes. I told my partner, “I finally got it! I figured out what was wrong and I fixed it!”

The Power You Have Within You

Think about how many people just accept a diagnosis and immediately start taking medication without ever looking deeper. How many of us believe something about ourselves just because someone else – even a doctor – told us it was true?

When someone tells you that you have a health condition, your body often starts to respond to that belief. You accept it, your mind reinforces it, and your body follows.

But you have the power to question these beliefs and change them.

This reminds me of my friend who got DNA test results saying she had gluten and sugar issues. Instead of just accepting it, she questioned the results and got blood tests that showed everything was perfectly normal. If she hadn’t taken that step, she might have unnecessarily restricted her diet for years based on incorrect information!

Start Your Own Healing Journey

So I ask you: What beliefs about your health or your body are you holding onto that might not be serving you? What one belief could you shift to allow healing in your life?

Your spiritual body is more powerful than your physical one. You don’t need permission to use the healing power within you.

This doesn’t mean ignoring doctors or proper medical care. It means being an active participant in your healing journey. Do your research. Ask questions. Look deeper at the emotional and spiritual components of your physical symptoms.

The moment I realized I could heal myself was the moment I reclaimed my power. And you can do the same thing.

I’d love to hear what resonates with you from this story. Have you ever experienced healing by changing your beliefs? Share in the comments below, and if this message speaks to you, please share it with someone who might need to hear it today.

Remember – you are more powerful than you know.
